Praxis Ambassador Program
Praxis will establish a Train-the-Trainer Ambassador Program designed to extend healthcare education into targeted low-income, rural, and underserved communities. Through this program, Praxis will train healthcare workers at the Praxis Center who will then return to their home communities as Praxis Ambassadors, serving as local trainers and support resources.
Praxis will employ these Ambassadors and has a goal of onboarding 100 new trainers annually. Funding for these positions will come from either grants or fees generated from the training programs. Each Ambassador will be responsible for training at least 100 individuals per year, creating a scalable model capable of reaching 10,000+ new low-income individuals annually. Each year will bring a substantial expansion to the program and greater outreach into targeted rural communities across the US and Canada.
Ambassadors will focus on individuals and families who may lack access to healthcare education and resources needed to effectively manage their own care or care for others. Training will be offered at no cost or at a subsidized rate and will include:
-
Basic first aid and CPR
-
Stop-the-Bleed techniques
-
Identification and prevention of pressure injuries (bed sores)
-
Medication adherence and management
-
Strategies to avoid hospital readmissions
-
Elder care and caregiver support
-
Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM)
-
Self-care for caregivers
-
Understanding Medicare and Medicaid
This program creates a multiplier effect, significantly expanding Praxis’s reach while improving health literacy, patient outcomes, and community resilience.

Local Community Training Initiatives
In addition to the Ambassador Program, Praxis will directly support local Southwest Montana communities by offering free or low-cost healthcare education workshops. These programs will be delivered regularly and tailored to the needs of targeted low-income populations.
Workshops will cover the same core topics as the Ambassador Program and will focus on helping individuals better navigate the healthcare system, manage chronic conditions, and provide care for family members.
Through these initiatives, Praxis will serve as both a regional training hub and a community resource, improving access to practical healthcare knowledge while addressing gaps in education and support for underserved populations.
